Not meant directly at you Eric:

It seems to me most on this thread are more worried about their points of view and their egos to help others who request help.

I will call the company tomorrow and post the Conference call # here, that is if it doesn't appear before then.

Sun Microsystems Inc. (SUNW)

Late Thursday, senior SUN MICROSYSTEMS INC executives said resurgent European sales, which rose 22% in dollar terms in the 2Q, helped boost its quarterly revenues to record levels. Michael Lehman, Sun's chief financial officer, told analysts in a telephone conference call that the company was experiencing "slightly higher" research and development expenditure as it seeks to exploit new product opportunities. Ed Zander, president of the company's Sun Microsystems Computer Co unit, said Sun had booked orders for "well over 100" of its top-end "Starfire" Enterprise 10000 servers. It appears that European sales were stellar up 22% (in dollar terms)...will this continue through next year. My guess is that as new products are introduced that BOTH domestic U.S. and Europe sales will contiue to show double digit growth rates. The big question is WILL THE MARKET INCREASE SUN's PE ACCORDINGLY??

Lehman Bros. has estimated 1999 earnings at $2.87. Assume the market assigns a 22 PE (based on the European & U.S Growth rate) then this stock is still undervalued! My guess is that $63 is a fair value for 1999...It's possible we may see this price by year end if Sun is able to grow their enterprise disk storage business.

And JAVA...well that's gravy as well as that TV-digital desk top business. Long term this company still looks quite attrctive to this investor.
