Yousef,

AMD did respond, the response did not address specifically whether equipment at SDC and Fab 25 match each other. Highlights of the response are:

1. All new technolgies are first developed in the SDC before being installed in production facilities. Each migration to-date from 0.8 to 0.25 micron - all started out in the SDC and were transfered to other facilities. Historicaly, AMD has done well based upon this model.

2. For the most part, equipment is not the issue. It is in the process, which starts with the mask set.

3. As the SDC has been consistently successful at its new technology launches, the head of SDC has been assigned to Austin to run the facility for the next year.

4. AMD is doing everything that is humanly possible to get
make the conversion to 0.25 and to increase yields as fast as possible.

What are your comments regarding the response, particularly, 1 and 2?
