Thanks for the informative reply. The more information shared on this thread the better. I have followed Metricom for some time and came very close to buying some a while back at $5, just before it shot up. Unfortunately I didn't. I think Metricom has a great product and think it will be very successfull when Internet Telephony gets more sophisticated and takes off. A friend who is a supplier to them, had been telling me eight months ago about the work they were doing with meter readers and that also sounded really interesting. What do you think of LMDS wireless? Harmonic Lightwaves purchased a company, New Media, that is a leader in this area. It should allow very high bandwidth at low cost. JW
