The "good", the "bad", it's all subjective anyway- and everyone dies, and some die screaming in agony, and whether you're "good" or "bad", doesn't seem to change who gets the shit end of the stick. It makes sense not to fuck with people. Leave your neighbors alone, unless they ask for your help, and they'll do the same for you. Treat people where you eat nicely, and they won't spit in your food. Have fun in this life because there's no evidence you'll get another one. that's my religion

I hear that!! In the late 80's my wife and I spent a summer up in North Carolina at Grandfather mountain and there were loads of bible thumpers all over the place. At the time it was a dry county and many "folks" would praise the lord and speak about the evils of alcohol, then go home and drink a fifth of Makers Mark, push the wife around and kick the dog. Those type of people were unbearable to be around but there was also a hell of a lot of really nice people also. It's a very beautiful part of the country, unreal scenic views everywhere you look. I'm not religious either but we have faith. I don't think you need to be religious to have faith. That faith is getting stretched mighty thin these days given the current shape of these United States. I'll be faithful that we can begin to make a change for the better in about a month!!!
