The rule is whenever the Democrats accuse the Republicans of something, it is they who are guilty of it or are planning to do it. The biggest problem is that the MSM always sells the dem line and it is echoed by hollywood. No matter how outrageous the MSM sells it. If they had a modicum of decency and fairness, it would not be effective, so in your example the media just moves forward and all their assumptions or direct accusations accuse conservatives of a plethora of "isis". That's why people are tuning them out but some of it sticks.
