Wharfie, this is what I'm talking about. How the hell are we going to get 50% of the world's energy needs via offshore sources? Maintaining floating windmills is going to be freakin' expensive. This is nothing but political vanity. If someone (or more likely, some corporation) invents a new clean energy source or comes up with a breakthrough in solar and wind energy, the politicians will pat themselves on the back and take credit for "encouraging" said advances. If not, these politicians will nevertheless pat themselves on the back for trying. They don't invent a damned thing. Tenchusatsu
