I turn 65 next year and will have to apply for a senior exemption I will have available for property tax. Exemption is really misleading because it's actually a senior discount. I'm still researching this for my home and area, but seniors should look into property tax discounts that may be available. My biggest concern is how my daughter will be able to pay the taxes on our home when I'm gone. I have no major health issues, but the reality is she should live longer than I will.
