I just bought my mother's real estate assets from her irrevocable trust.

I thought there were not many benefits for that structure - unless you are an attorney and making fees.

The purchase required expensive appraisals for my sibling ND HUSBAND TO BE ASSURED THEY WERE NOT BEING RIPPED OFF.

Their were no realtor fees as I was a willing buyer.

Beyond that I saw no need for the trust.

It was a bif legal process that cost money to get in and money to get out??

Bob

perhaps

or not!

very useful for the children not the people who give up control!

I see people give up control to their children than the kids have a different vision from the parents.

very common
