In development
or
Planned

You can go ahead and invest in all those wonderful projects that aren't. Forbes is discussing planned developments and there are some great ideas. I fully agree that one day those products may exist and work. Today, they don't. There is only one kid on the block right now and it is bitcoin.

"This company is creating"
"..aims to replace.."
"..is working to place"
".. two products in development.."
"An MIT project to.."
"A collaboration to create a blockchain.."
"launched a number of initiatives"
"unveiled plans"
"..this project.."
"..is developing.."
"..an attempt to build.."
"..startup creating a blockchain.."

Those are all taken from the article, there is more. Those are whitepapers, not working blockchains. ABRA works, a cryptocurrency wallet that uses the Bitcoin blockchain. Read that article again, they are discussing 33 whitepapers and a couple of crytpo projects that use other blockchains. The idea that a bank in Israel and Microsoft can create a blockchain that people trust is laughable. Blockchains don't work because there is some authority, they work because humans distrust one another. Go ahead and invest, I will buy some more ETN because it might go up! It is a working blockchain (well sort of, forked from Monero) and it has a new API that might get some uptake. All that other stuff is vapourware or promiseware. But I watch it all. Augur is a very cool idea. So the next time you need an Uber, you can try Arcade City, but Uber works today.
