I see little danger of a full on trade war

Both sides have too much to lose.

In my estimation (for whatever it may be worth), rising US interest rates are a more likely cause of a stock market crash. Even a relatively small rise to rates that are still historically low caused a substantial downturn in a market that by any measure is overpriced. Add QT to the mix and a stock market crash/correction is practically guaranteed.

The Fed is taking the punch bowl away.
