Communism and Socialism are two words that are a matter of degree. They both destroy freedom and prosperity. As to the latest evolution of socialism, you guys have begun to call it Democratic Socialism. This is just non-sense and devoid of any understanding of history. The country my family came from was also Democratic, but you just had to vote for the only guy who was allowed to run. Otherwise, there would be consequences. It's much like Venezuela now. They VOTED for Chavez and they VOTED for Maduro. First Chavez and now Maduro, his chosen successor, are dictators for life. That's the way socialism works. First they lure you with free shit, by saying they'll steal it from other people to give it to you. Then the sheeple like you vote for them. Then they rise to power and implement cronyism and destroy the institutions that would stand against their ability to stay in power. Then they declare themselves President for life. President Xi in China just did that. You know China...the People's Republic of China. So there's a Republic that is a dictatorship. Then President Maduro did it....you know Venezuela...the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. There is another Republic that is really just a dictatorship. You socialist bolsheviks are all the same. You hate liberty, so you destroy it. You hate people who work for a living, so you destroy them and their freedoms and the things they acquired from their hard work. What is wrong with you? You need to go work for a living like the rest of us. That will give you less time to try to steal from other people.
