Yes, she claimed to be a Cherokee Indian. She submitted a recipe in the Indian cookbook under the name Elizabeth Warren, Cherokee. She listed herself in a directory of legal minorities. And she surely listed herself as Native American in applying to teach at Harvard Law, as they celebrated her hiring as their first Native American woman and listed her as such.
