Thomas as you know, for any country to be prosperous and successful they should have a vibrant domestic market as well as a healthy export market.One can not really avoid economic consequences by just having one of the two.A case in point will be Japan,as I understand it they have been trying their best to have a healthy economy by just developing a robust export market while keeping the domestic market to themselves,relatively speaking. Well you know the rest.

I think it is particularly important for a 'developing country' to have a healthy and growing export market while they develop a healthy domestic market.

Now to answer your question about the marco economic data for China, I don't have it handy now but I will try to get it,in the meantime let's see if someone else would come up with it.
