Robert: I like this guy Shepard. Don't ask me why. We invest
in a world overrun by BS'ing CEOs.
There's something different about Shepard and I can't for the life of me tell you why my faith level is higher on him than the majority of his peers.
One thing's for certain. You got to feel better about CEOs who put their money where their investors put theirs.
To further solidify this gut feeling, I E-Mailed Mr. Shepard last month to pleasantly complain about the low-tech, unfinished website. I told him in my e-mail that I thought it did more damage than good, considering that they are a cutting edge company, and that it should be an early priority to make it slick and informative. He personally responded to my E-mail in a reasonably prompt time period (but still apologised for not responding sooner because he had been on a business trip -that showed some class and civility). Then he told me that they were working hard on the site, and that the slowness was due to the complexity of their service, which is, I gather, going to be very much interfaced with the
site. That made ample sense. Hr. Shepard finshed the e-mail by stating that FNTN expected to be up & running with the site by early 1998. Again, I'm impresseed, because all indications point to a Dead-On acurate time schedule.
My gut on this company is that the technology was even harder to deal with than the financing, but if the former could be conquered, the latter would take care of itself.
So Far So Good.
Wally

Am I a complete fool? Is there a catch?

I would have expected much more volume on FNTN, not to mention some price rising.

The news should attract quite some investors. If not conservatives, at least the speculating type.
Does anyone have any explanation why it doesn't happen?

Robert
