Lazarus I think there are many people who voted for and still support Trump but just won't admit it publically. Many of Trump's public actions and comments embarrass them. but not enough to cause them to change their support. The level of discontent for politicians and the media in general far out ways the distaste people have for Trump. He is a disruptor and many love that about him. As you point out with None of the best educated states voted for Trump, That kind of condescending comments will get him reelected. They voted for Hillary! which is why the Democrats lost.
