Certainty
or
Falsity

Dogma is characterized by certainty. That certainty is a veil that stands between perception and truth. Popper talks about the nature of truth, you might benefit by reading his characterizations. Truth exists in a state that is untrammeled by certainty or dogma. Searching for that truth should be our objective as it can be used to destroy dogma or perception.Falsity intrudes at every opportunity, leading people to accept a version of the truth that they find more palatable. People mostly want to believe things about themselves, those beliefs will always be dogmatic and false. Trump believes he is a genius and the truth is that he is not as smart as some dolphins.

I just take me as I come, often wrong, never dogmatic and absolutely certain. For example, I will vote Liberal for the rest of my natural life. The legalization of the marijuana and the signing of the UN Charter on Indigenous Rights has earned my vote, forever. I wasn't always a Liberal though, I used to do volunteer work for the Conservatives when I was young.
