I don’t think anybody could spend a lot of time with him and walk away feeling inspired or encouraged or believe that he in some way knows what it means to to live their life. They realize they can’t package him in that way.” He added: “I’ve heard from Republican members of congress DeSantis would go on these congressional trips with them and he’d put on his headphones and not talk to them the entire time.”

LOL! You likely don't know this, but the Islamic Republic of Iran has legally and religiously sanctioned transgender operations with the full rights for the transgender people. The underlying logic of this "fatwa" is that a person may be born with various physical deformities or extra limbs including the genitals. They've found it immoral to deny someone corrective surgery or discriminate against them based on such. This puts the Iranian mullahs light years ahead of the Trump administration. Go figure!! >> The Trump administration is considering narrowly defining gender as a biological, immutable condition determined by genitalia at birth

A crassly effective political move by Trump. It won't help them with liberals but it will resonate with a great many older folks who are just plain puzzled and put off by the whole trans thing. Another example of the MAGA approach: Take us back before things got so complicated: meaning white folks ran everything, gays stayed hidden and there 'was none of this transgender stuff'. I'll add one more from an elderly neighbor 'These young girls didn't run around showing their asses, just asking for it...' A lot of us will have to kick the bucket before some of those attitudes go away...
