Here are just 19 examples of when CNN either promoted unsubstantiated conspiracy theories on their network, flat out lied, or allowed guests to promote unsubstantiated conspiracy theories on their network without offering any pushback:

1. Brain Stelter suggests Fox News manufactured a crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border:

"President Trump receives faulty information, then he makes impulsive decisions, and his staff has to scramble," Stelter began, NewsBusters reported. "Ask yourself, why is there so much talk about the U.S.-Mexico border all of a sudden? Why are National Guard troops suddenly being deployed? Well, the answer involves President Trump's favorite channel."

Stelter's wild goose chase, which lasted more than three minutes, proceeded to try to convince viewers that "the line where Fox News ends and where Trump begins is getting blurrier by the day," a statement he made on the show and tweeted out afterward.

“That is how we end up with the National Guard deployed to the border in what I would argue is a PR stunt,” Stelter concluded, after taking viewers through another one of his conspiracy theories. “Trump wants a PR victory. He wants to give his Fox friends something to celebrate. And as a result, we’re all talking about the border. A manufactured crisis.”

CNN's @BrianStelter suggests Fox News pushed a 'manufactured crisis' at the border, provides no evidence of anything that was made up. t.co

2. CNN Analyst Suggests 'Right-Wing Extremists' Could Be Behind Boston Bombing:

CNN's national security analyst Peter Bergen twice suggested that "right-wing extremists" could be behind Monday's Boston Marathon bombings. Yet over an hour later, CNN reported that Boston Police were not holding anyone in custody as a suspect for the attack.

CNN's Jake Tapper, according to transcripts, said before Bergen that he didn't "want to speculate," but did not offer any pushback after he suggested multiple times that a right-wing group could have been behind the attacks.

3. Berkeley Professor Robert Reich Suggests Berkeley Riots Were a False Flag:

CNN's Don Lemon began the segment by suggesting that the Berkeley riots were caused by right-wingers and allowed former Clinton Secretary of Labor and Berkeley professor of public policy Robert Reich to repeatedly suggest right-wingers were behind the riots, which was false.

Early Hudson Bay Ice Stymies Polar Bear Alarmists Again

Published on October 25, 2018

Written by Dr Susan Crockford

principia-scientific.org

Last year, an early freeze-up of Western Hudson Bay sea ice almost ruined the Polar Bear Week campaign devised by Polar Bears International to drum up donation dollars and public sympathy for polar bear conservation.

Many bears were on the ice hunting by 7-8 November in 2017 before the celebratory week was done (the average date that bears left the ice in the 1980s): sea ice charts suggest the same may be happening this year.

Ice is forming along the Hudson Bay coast more than a week earlier than it was last year (barely discernible on the map below but detailed ice charts show it clearly), consistent with an early build-up of ice in the Canadian Archipelago, East Greenland, and Foxe Basin since mid-September.

The question is: will the ice continue to build over the next few weeks or get blown offshore? See the ice charts below for this year and 2017.

Today’s ice chart for Hudson Bay, from the Canadian Ice Service (23 October 2018), shows gray ice already in place along most of the NW coast:

Conditions similar to today’s did not develop last year until the first of November:

However, an early freeze up is not guaranteed: in 2016, there was ice developing along the shore on the 8th of November (see below) but a south wind came along and blew it offshore.

Bears didn’t leave the ice for another four weeks (early December, which is quite late):

Time will tell.

Most bears have been onshore for almost four months (15 weeks) and reports from the Polar Bear Alert Program in Churchill for the third week in October (below) show that activity is picking up:

Last year at week 16 (week 15 was not reported), there had been somewhat less activity than this year (only 105 incidents vs. 173) but the message to the public was very similar:

In 2016, the situation was more similar to this year:

CAUGHT ON VIDEO: Mexican Police Stop Buses and Trucks – Force Them to Take Foreign Invaders North to US Border

The illegal immigrant caravan of mostly military-aged Honduran males has swelled to over 14,000 people as it marches up Mexico to the US border.

The DHS confirmed this week that gang members and other dangerous criminals are embedded in the caravan.

Migrants from the Middle East, Africa and South Asia have also latched onto the caravan, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

President Trump declared a national emergency Monday morning and announced that he will begin cutting off aid to Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala as the migrant caravan marches through Mexico up to the U.S. border.

But new video shows Mexican police stopping buses and trucks and forcing them to carry caravan immigrants north to the US border.

William La Jeunesse is traveling with the caravan and broke the news on Lou Dobbs Tonight.

#WALKAWAY from Democrats political push hits public radar with D.C. march - FREEDOM!
- Washington Times

washingtontimes.com
By Jennifer Harper - The Washington Times - Sunday, October 28, 2018

The founder of this political movement came forward with his proposal five months ago. In a video published online in May, Brandon Straka advised disenchanted or disappointed Democrats and liberals should simply “walk away” from the Democratic Party, which he said had embraced left-leaning values and forgotten its calling.

He simply called his new activism #WalkAway, making use of the power of the social media hashtag.

Mr. Straka’s quest has now hit the public radar. Over 5,000 people and 31 public speakers joined him Saturday in person or via video for a march and a rally on Pennsylvania Avenue in the nation’s capital. Those speakers included Diamond & Silk, Fox News host Tomi Lahren, and former presidential hopeful Herman Cain. There’s an active website. Though most of the mainstream media has yet to cover the new push, Fox News featured the organizer in a broadcast on Saturday.

“We’re walking away from the Democratic Party and literally walking toward freedom. People are fed up with what’s happening on the left,” Mr. Straka told the network.

President Trump is also aware of the push to convert Democrats to a more Republican way of thinking.

“Walkaway from the Democrat Party movement marches today in D.C. Congratulations to Brandon Straka for starting something very special,” Mr. Trump tweeted.

The New York Post is also paying attention.

“Furious former Democrats — fed up at the party’s leftward lurch — are banding together in protest under the banner of the #Walkaway movement,” the Post said.

“Democrats seem so angry, like they’ve turned hard left into socialism. It’s very scary to me,” one New York fan told the news organization.

Mr. Straka — who says that there has been a surge in interest following Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings — has now accrued over 95,000 Twitter followers, and 2.6 million views of his introductory video.

Uppity Latinos: Democrat Version

MOTUS A.D. ^ |
10-29-18 | MOTUS

In 2016, an astounding 29 percent of Latinos voted for Trump.

And now, two years into his presidency, polls show that his support among Latinos is somewhere between 33 and 41 percent. That’s insanely good for a president who is so bad on issues that Latinos supposedly care about. Wait, what?!?

As a Never Trumper, I didn’t get it. So, I interviewed some Latinos for Trump and I got an earful. Many of them saw themselves not as Latinos but as Americans…Marco Gutierrez, founder of Latinos for Trump: who does he think he is? Imagine that, those uppity Latinos ungratefully...

EXCLUSIVE: 'People who deny there are criminals in the caravan are naive - MS-13 are everywhere.'

Daily Mail ^ |
10/26/18 | Ben Ashford

An 18-year-old who claims to be a former member of the feared Latin mafia MS-13 has backed President Trump's controversial claim that the migrant caravan contains gangsters and criminals. Trump has faced a barrage of criticism for insisting that the brutal Central American street gang's operatives are embedded in the sprawling human convoy. ...

Whatever happened to Blasey Ford?
Power LinePower Line by Scott Johnson

Christine Blasey Ford appears to have shuffled off the scene as quickly as she shuffled onto it. Surely, however, she must be in the process of reaping the rewards of her service to the cause. Surely some benefactor must be endowing a chair for her in academia dedicated to the study of the hippocampus.

She is apparently taking time to weigh the book offers and other opportunities that now come her way, but let us follow the (hard) money. Paul Sperry reports for RealClearPolitics that Ford has monetized her service to the cause in a big way: “‘Nothing to Gain,’ Kavanaugh Accuser Raises Nearly $1 Million.” And the cash is still rolling in. Sperry called on GoFundMe spokeswoman Katherine Cichy to get a handle on the uses to which the funds might be put.
Cichy told him that Ford and her husband can withdraw as much as they want whenever they want for any purpose.

Sperry notes that “the total does not include a third account collecting $120,000 for an academic endowment in her name.” Hippocamupus, here we come.

Sperry sought to reach Ford to find out the uses to which she is putting the cash, but his attempts to reach Ford at her home and office were unsuccessful. This failure set a pattern. He also reached out to Ford’s legal team – including Washington attorneys Debra S. Katz, Lisa J. Banks and Michael R. Bromwich – to determine the scope of their financial assistance: “Asked specifically if any of them helped cover her travel or security costs, in addition to her legal bills, the lawyers declined comment.”

Sperry adds that the GoFundMe campaigns are only part of the financial assistance Ford is receiving. Asked during her testimony if anyone else besides her lawyers and crowd-funders were helping to finance her efforts, Ford answered that “there are members of the community in Palo Alto that have means to contribute to help me with the security detail, etc.”

“Etc.” leaves a lot of room to roam.

Sperry goes into details and considers the possibilities with a little help from Professor Jonathan Turley here.
