But I must depart early today...it's Ammo's birthday and for his cake he has requested the "Colossal Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich Cake", an amazing edifice of brownie layers and filling that has to be constructed in stages. I said, "What would you like for your special birthday dinner?" "Pizza,"he said predictably. "No, I mean I'm going to cook your favorite recipe. What's your favorite meal that I make?" Puzzled stare. "You know-like when a child comes home from college and says, 'Oh. Mom, boy, have I missed your homecooking! I hope you made my favorite...fill in the blank." "Oh." Ammo is gazing around, hoping for inspiration. "Umm, well, I guess the thing you make best is Manwich Sandwich."
