Allen,
They put in three lanes, one nothbound, one southbound, and one in the middle not being used except for some pretty stripes. I am being billed for two lanes of 339 feet at $21,000. That is down from $39,000 because when I asked for bills they realized that the third lane is not on my property. To do damage control they insisted that they have the right to bill me but I argued unsucessfully that you at least need to bill the person across the street for their lane ,get this, 900 feet. there are stuck because billing those people will escalate the battle and become more publisized. but guess what,i plan to go to the media.

I do not have to pay until i improve or develop my property but yet they say that they will pass a resolution in the future when the people across the street develops theirs...so I said you then wait until I develop also and bill us both at the same time...no change...gets better...the city says that they did not have to bid the project because they used a state contrcat...however they will not provide me with the contract...and when I call the state the state says that that number is not valid...better yet...the road has not been approved and accepted by the city....and....and...and...the 300 so feet of it was never even given approval by the city counsel to build it in the first place...

sorry to bore all but a crazy story

Ray

They wanted an easement for electricity, I wanted water, they said only pipe, no water in pipe (pipe without water is useless -no $hit sherlock) I said no easement, so they dig in street and burried eelectricty, then created a resolution to bill me w/o me knowing it, argued about width of driveway, city had no engineering plans so I went by mistake (fortuniate for me) to county clerks office to see if something filed there and behold found resolution to bill me in the future when they fiqure price attached as a lien to my property...what a wonderful town I live in...so I stand out in the communtiy as the first and only person billed for a road in this town/city (i believe)
