China gets all whiny about Japan's attempt to take over and form a greater east Asia co-prosperity sphere but still venerates the conqueror who killed 40x (more or less) as many Chinese a few decades later = Chairman Mao and his murdering totalitarian acolytes.

Now they are reconsidering the benefits of a greater east Asia co-prosperity sphere. But this time without the conquering part.
