As prime minister I would save umpty $millions in overseas travel, accommodation, meals because nobody would be having trade negotiations. I'd fire loads of such trade employees. If somebody wanted to sell things in NZ they would be welcome. If they wanted to buy they'd be welcome to do so. If they wanted to charge their citizens s big tariff on NZ exports then that's their business. Simple really. Team America does not wish to trade? No problem, don’t trade.
