Elroy governments did not disclose one of the powers they had in their hands and they wanted to keep a monopoly on that: INFORMATION The ones who quickly discovered the power and value of information used it to make money while governments used to keep the power and control of the masses. We all know the powers that government hold. Governments the world over, irrespective of regimes, wanted to keep information for themselves. The traditional press helped that. Governments and the money men were in charge and profited from it. Informaton cost money. poor people could not access it. Ordinary people started using the term knowledge. Schools came out and said they held the monopoly of knowledge. The masses were uterly confused Starting this century the impact of two facts reached society. The cost of storing and disseminating information went down dramatically. Poor, uneducated people could now get the same information government and traditional press got.. Governments and the money men lost their leverage. Guys like Steve Bannon and Andrew Breitebart created a counter-information that goes against the traditional press. The traditional press, that dwdv calls mouthpieces, started a fight for survival. They are crying: democracy under threat! The so called democracy, they say, is under threat, it is the same democracy the traditional press in cahoots with governments kept control of.
