sunw will not punch thru 45 today, though BIG announcements in history of sun's life is coming next week. According to some of the press realease. Today, market maker wants to hold it down due open itrest in 45. i m not buying leaps anymore becasue i have too much cash that needs to be put to work. i bot spy for buy and hold for ever ( 100+years) i have bot msftP(9%) , vlsih bonds and looking at reit pref. stocks (8.25%). if i can manage more then 8% then i will refi my home. I m only investing in fixed income enuf for loan amount. This way my house is safe from HUGE stock declines. i m also going to buy some MY fav. drug stocks. today or monday. maybe more MO, pfe, nvtsy. the reason i don't buy leaps is cuz i m not sure of the "market", in a normal market, yes i would be buying those leaps. ================================================================ WHAT R U DOING W. YESTERDAYS OPTIONS. Are u going exercise your 40? i m thinking of exercising my 42.5 and sellit nxt wk. it's in IRA and don't want to take a chance. =============any opinion for today's options? ==================== did u hear about darwin wrk station 2900? runs all NT applications on solaris system. runs much faster then CPQ and HWP at a LESSER price? but money will be made thru Million $ servers. big demand. eurpe grew from 6% 26%?

brian, IF u buy sunw leaps, buy 2000, u get merced/solaris effect. i calculated sun low, med. high price for june 99 (perfect time to sell y2k leaps) on my other thread. u should find lots of info over there. this does not include MERCED effect as i only calcualted based on Zacks Median estiamtes as of dec. 15. 97. ML and Painewebb upgraded sunw today. ML does not like semi anymore. sunw has been most active all day on Naz as sunw showed relief over Asia (atleast for today). we took a great risk yesterday ! the stock is not touching 45 though. maybe it will close xactly at 45. if we could figure this out on every stock watch intc close at 75, asnd 30, msft 135 amat 30.
