In Hawaii, a real 48V system to power a 3,000' home reliably with 110V is $65,000 without grid tie in. That's either industrial 10 year SLA batteries or 4 Lithiums(they say 25 years)

No generator backup.

Double the price if want all electric with 220 power

The efficiency of the solar cells has gone from 1% for the first in 1950 to 22% in 2017. The cell created in 1950 can still make E today!

Anyone who doesn't support this is just too dumb to live. Even oil rich Texas gets renewables. Once amortized, the energy produced with no fuel cost is basically free.
