We already have Judicial Precedent that has called the social media platform a "public square", which makes it necessary for the other two branches to defend the 1st Amendment in. Right now, there are several court cases before the Supreme court that can illuminate the interpretation further. Go back and read the Constitution. I did. In short, it says congress shall pass no law that violates the 1st Amendment and the various government entities need to abide by the 1st Amendment, although there are some well known exemptions, some that the legislative branch has clarified with specific laws. Needless to say, the Democrats love the censorship that is happening in the social media platforms right now, because it targets mostly conservatives. So you like to interpret the above to mean government shall pass no law IMPEDING corporations from violating the 1st Amendment. But the fact is the government is allowed to pass laws to ensure the people's 1st Amendment rights are PROTECTED, especially in physical or digital areas deemed to be public squares/forums, which the courts have already ruled and defined the social media platforms to be. The bottom line is the 1st Amendment and Data Privacy will eventually extend to the Internet and all the major social media platforms. Our laws and Judicial branch haven't caught up to reality yet, but it's already happening pretty fast. The more you guys censor, the more Americans get outraged, and the faster the change will come. Already Tim Berners Lee is calling for the breakup of the social media tech giants. I agree with him. Time to do some trust busting. When corporations violate the Constitution, that's when it is time to break them up and restrain them. Remember, in our American way of life, the PEOPLE are supposed to reign supreme, not the government and not corporations. Democrats and their socialist/fascist ways need to come to terms with their own hypocrisy. It used to be that we'd all agree the conservatives were more fascist than the Democrats. But nowadays, it is the Democrats and their defense of the social media platform monopolies, who are defending fascism, so that you can silence conservative voices through your violations of their 1st Amendment rights. You are all very hypocritical.
