Having your email client open Word automatically is just asking for huge heaping gobs of trouble in the family size package. That's a very silly way to configure it, and I'm sure anybody who learns this one the hard way won't likely forget. Nonetheless, you are correct that it could happen that way. I suppose you'll find some occurances of this config as 'puters get more and more mainstream, falling into the hands of people with strengths other than computer knowledge. -MrB
