Margaret, I just heard from that poster. He uses E-Schwab. The 30 doll. commission for up to 5000 shares is for online trading only. I am with you. I feel too uncomfortable with online trading for my IRA. Like I said I am thinking about doing it for a little trading. I know that Ameritrade has an 8 doll.comm. for online trading, 12 doll. comm. for telebroker and around 18? for a live broker. I may check into that one. Olde is a discount broker but has a research department and will give you all the info. you want. It's 40 doll. for the first 100 shares, 60, 80, 100 for the next 300 shares and then it goes to 10 more for any add. 100 shares. Anyhow, really too expensive for me. But if you like to discuss stocks with your broker it's not bad. They are all over. You may want to check them out. All other brokers I have just buy and sell for you. Hi Margaret, Maria Bartiromo now has her own TV show, co-starring with a guy whose name I don't know. My wife thinks it's right after the markets close. I also don't know what network it's on. You may want to do some channel surfing or look at a TV listing. Best of luck to Maria! Get this: my wife listens to a lot of talk radio. She said some creep called into some show and said something like "don't you think that if you look at just Maria's eyes and lips in a certain way,she could look like a goldfish?" What a cretin, huh?
