Josh,

I didn’t put up a chain link fence. I put up a cedar privacy fence. Instead of using weak and rotable wooden posts, I used metal corner posts all along the fence.

My suggestion is for you to sink some metal corner posts along your damaged area and attach you existing fence to it temporarily until you can replace the fence.

Reid

Trim top branches first,be sure the branch when pivoting down will not index into your ladder (place on opposite side of tree and tie top wrung to tree).

Then rope 5-6 foot sections so they fall straight down and lower them slowly.

Cut to ground level - kill roots with Tordon for a season or rent stump grinder (Vermeer makes a great one) and grind into the ground as deep as the grinder goes.

Fences - you are the man on !
