We have hospitals that create numbers they say 'nobody pays', how ludicrous is that?
Oh I don't know, probably as ludicrous as every single industry that creates a list price. Doesn't matter if you are buying healthcare, a car, a tractor, a lawnmower, audio equipment, potato chips, cereal, whatever. Companies put a sticker price / or manufactures list price on their product. Nothing ludicrous about it

We have 'balance billing' where you think your procedure will be performed by doctors in your network, and then you find out they used doctors out of your network, and by the way, pay up!
If you select coverage with a narrow or limited network, it is your responsibility to know and see the doctors in your network. No one but you decides the physicians you will see.
