Yeah - I remember reading something recently about an association between HSV-1 infection and Alzheimer's disease.

And the actual review article, & not just the Science Daily summary of it. It's actually not too dense or overjammed with scientific lingo for a review article.

An anti-herpes drug that can destroy the virus, and that has extremely low toxicity could be an effective preventative or at least treatment - if they can figure out a way to deliver it through the blood-brain barrier.

It's all more "pie-in-the-sky" though unless the company can actually deliver a drug,... period,... for clinical testing.

And we all know how that track record looks to date.
