Hey guys, I found a really interesting page about Big Brother.

newspeak.com

It also has a page that describes Big Brother in depth.

newspeak.com

And a page about how it will be marketed.

newspeak.com

Here is an interesting portion of the marketing plan:

Important ancillary products already in work:
* BIG BROTHER(TM) - the Soundtrack Album. Roger Trilling, the record producer of such varied artists as Whitney Houston, Ryuichi Sakamoto and U2, and a founder of Axiom Records, is producing.
* EMMA'S DIARY - the BIG BROTHER(TM) art book Art director and book designer David Carson, winner of the 1995 Book of the Year award for CYCLOPS (with Albert Watson), will design an art book using the collage art and text assembled for the title.
* NINETEEN EIGHTY FOUR - the BIG BROTHER(TM) tie-in edition. Penguin, publisher of the NINETEEN EIGHTY FOUR novel, will issue a special tie-in edition of the book. Novel/cd-rom bundles will be sold in bookstores and other retail outlets, as well as via a special marketing campaign to high schools and colleges.

Really interesting reading!!!

*** Media-X News/Update ***

I've been collecting/receiving several interesting items re: MXMX over the last few days, so here is the latest I have come across:

1. Expect around 8 more news releases over the next 6 weeks!
Content should range from OEM deals to Fortune 500 purchases to (hopefully) some numbers as to what is shipping - and there is reportedly a lot of product going out the door!

2. Nancy Poertner and MXMX's CTO just wrapped up a media blitz of some major magazines last week. They included:

- PC Magazine
- Computer Shopper
- Family PC
- Windows Sources Magazine
- Seventeen Magazine
- People
- Rolling Stone
- Newsweek
- Home Furnishing News
- Entertainment Weekly
- Nation's Business
- NEA Today (National Educ. Assoc)
- Business Week
- Gov't Computer News
- Popular Science
- Windows Magazine
- Computer Retail Week
- Home PC

That's a MAJOR media blitz - hopefully some/most of these mags will feature a write up/review of PC GURU in the weeks ahead.

I expect that as news comes out and public awareness grows, we will see a surge of investor interest in this one. Don't be surprised to see this start up soon and not look back!

And Big Brother, their next title, is just around the corner!

Also, I am expecting a copy of PC GURU any day now. I will post my thoughts after going through it.
