in very very general terms, im bearish when a stock or index is below 50 ma. bullish when above..

but im sure if it's a trading up and down within the 200 ma and 50ma, you can time it and time the mkt (the mkt trend is your friend)

but right now, if you notice, the 50 and 200 ma are very close together. (which isn't big enough to take advantage of)

the trendlines for the mkt are BOTH downward trendlines.. so we are theoriticall in a downtrend. we are just on an up bounce within this downward trend.
