Politics 4 dummies: Republicans picked up seats in senate because they united over Brett Kavanaugh. Dems put all of their money, media, and star power behind Beto, Abrams, and Gillum and lost all 3. If we lose the House it was Paul Ryan and the RINOs, especially the wusses that retired I don't know about this and only recall hearing it once before but the R's have a rule that you can only have a chairmanship for so long. Supposedly many retired since they don't want to go back to being a commoner. Also some of the close races had Libertarians running which siphoned off votes such as Dave Bratt. Heard Bannon say that the dems had really good candidates (i.e. military CIA etc) and the R's didn't make effective use of social media like the dims. (They learned from POTUS). The fact that it took so long for the RINO's to rally behind POTUS and fought him on budget issues did not help.
