Christine,

The whole point is that the goverment mismanages my resources. Not as much of it goes to the starving child as I would wish. Do you really think that is where your tax dollars go?

Coercion as the solution for chaos? Not for me.

Skipper

Christine:

<Yes, I understand that, Skipper, but we have discussed this before, and you have never really
responded to my concerns about the chaos this would cause. Human beings are social animals,
and live in organized societies. In any society, not everyone will agree on certain goals or actions
of the society--that is why a majority vote usually determines the general direction of the society.

I see what you are saying, but could you watch a child starve to death, when you have the resources to save the child?>

Whether a child starves or not in a free society is up to the moral decisions of individuals -- not "society" which is composed of individuals who agree not to war upon each other (except for the criminals).
