It looks to me like Acosta actually pushed her arm away twice. My vivid imagination couldn't help creating another ending to that scene: After Acosta pushed the young intern away twice and was still holding the Mic, the President turns and starts to saunter (true to this point) toward the steps to take him down there to get the mic. Acosta, standing there in shocked disbelief holds the mic tightly as the President reaches to take it out of his hands. Acosta, not believing his eyes, hangs on to the mic but raises his arm because of the height difference. So our President pulls on the mic which creates a picture that sends the Secret Service into full attack mode. Three huge men land on Acosta at the same time sending him crashing to the floor. Acosta retires and fishes the rest of his life as he thanks his lucky stars to still be alive. (That's my good-night, wishful thinking, story for all.) LOL!
