Thanks Jesse.. I've been comparing these figures with Aber's old press releases (1994+) and with Ashton's Merlin Mine in AU.
I now see where Ashton used >.8mm in resource calculations for their Merlin mine, but I can't see any mention of this being done with the Aber releases. Do you know if Aber is calculating c/ton on everything >.1mm?
One thing I found interesting was that the Merlin Mine averages about 5 stones/Ton and Ashton 10. The Aber pipes are 1,000+ stones/Ton. I was assuming quality being the difference as I thought I read the Aber was more an industrial type diamond find, but I'm not so sure now. If Aber calculates all diamonds >.1mm, then this would account for the huge diamond/ton count. - Jesse, anyone ? - denis
