Patti,

I agree with you that the money should primarily be used to grow the company, with ADVERTISING and R&D and EXPANSION and such. Some of it also should be used for buy back, since they said they would, but I also agree they may not. It's an example of poor direction and poor judgment, IMO, that they announced it as they did, and is one of the things that shakes my confidence in their ability to make the most out of what they have. They have good technology but if they can't do right by the company, it's worthless to us.

Linda

Patti,

I want the thread to remember what Dr. Damadian said himself. Remember, this is not some reporter taking a quote out of context. It is a company press release.

[[[[Thursday October 16 9:21 AM EDT
Company Press Release
FONAR Announces Stock Re-Purchase Plan
MELVILLE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--October 16, 1997--FONAR CORP (FONR-NASDAQ) announced today that the Company intends to initiate a re-purchase plan of outstanding FONAR common stock. According to Dr. Raymond V. Damadian, president and founder of FONAR, ''Our first concern is our shareholders - many of them loyal and long-term supporters of the Company. We believe FONAR stock is a good investment, and with the Company now on remarkably sound financial footing, this re-purchase plan will both strengthen the stock and underscore our commitment to shareholder value.'' .......]]]]

He claims that his first concern is for the shareholder (loyal and long term supporters). Breaks your heart to see a grown man be so honest and sympathetic.

How many people lost money when they invested in this company because of an announced stock by-back? Lies. All lies.
