Stay in touch as your information has been helpful. I plan on spending time with my IDTI through mid 1999 probably or until I see a major semi cyclical contraction coming on. (I didn't see the late 97' one)

The long term problems for IDTI can come from:

1) Intel : buying C & T and other graphics companies shows that they are going to do what Microsoft did with their Office suite in the 1980's -- outflank the competitors "it's not just MPUs anymore". IDTI has other cards to play in graphics also.
2) Intel will take the ARM chip (low power & cheap) from DEC and try to make it a worthy $20 x86 competitor but that will take alot of time to do this. (24-36months?)
3) Poor inside execution (marketing & manufacturing)
4) PC industry architecture transition. Hopefully Intel is not able to position themselves and redefine the industry into a new untouchable monopoly. Instead Intel will need to create a whole new CPU/architecture business and play the x86 game with a group of competitors including IDTI.

In the short term IDTI will bounce around but I'm willing to wait (at least for now) for the move above 15 to 20+ and a whole new IDTI business valuation.

Charlie - thanks for all of your past and current posts. You will not hear any trash from me, we all make our own decisions,,, I hope that there is a clear sign that the upside :) is going to be as grand as I think it will be, and you can jump back in for the ride up.
In any event best of luck in all you do.
