HI DAVE!

Thanks for the answer! I only "eyeballed" the EMA crossover for the last six month and i actually used 5 and 13 EMA. But you're right about the whipsaws. AFter you replied i systemtested it and what looked could at a quick glance returned a -22% result when put to test. A good lesson for me!!

Otherwise thanks for the system test on IBM. I improved the time i had for IBM from 2 to 5 years but didn't have data from the 90-92.

I think the results for the years from 1990-94 and the results of the last 6 month show how import it is to choose trending stocks for the database to make the developed system work. You've said that all along that the system doesn't have to work with all stocks under all conditions but it should work for the stocks you put into your database. I read that but now i have good feel for it too and will not forget the next time.

Thanks for the making the point so clear!!

Stefan

HI DAVE!

After having a good impression about your daily system i was wondering about weekly data. I developed a few templates for my daily data but i'm not satisfied with my weekly one. I think i remember that you also look at the weekly charts sometimes and was wondering if you use the same set of indicators just with different settings to adjust for the weekly data. Or do you use different indicators?
