Cannon and Nikon will pay Cymer the $450,000 and sell their equiptment to the rest of the world at what will be bargain prices.

It's the U.S. and Europe that will save versus spending on ASMLF and SVGI if anything.

The DUV road is just beginning. Load up for the next two years profits.

Thanks for your post. I find it's always more refreshing to see a discussion about the business than grumbling about the market.
Though all of what you say about the Koreans and their overextended chaebol situation may be true, I think they will have to be making strategic decisions around prioritizing their new investments. My guess is that they are likely to view maintaining a competitive position in semiconductors as more critical than others -- autos, for example. In any case, I think their investments in 0.25 equipment are more likely to be delayed than eliminated. And, as you point out, there are other players ready to go for DUV machines whether the Koreans do or not.
