We've had GEN III and GEN IV fission reactor technology for DECADES ..

We've had the solar and wind technology for years.
And there's a reason why neither solar nor wind is going to solve the problem.

You really don't get that much energy from the sun or the wind. You'd have to make up for it with a LOT of solar panels and windmills.
