I cancelled Prime this past August. Not missing it. On the items I've purchased since cancellation two day shipping was still free when sold and/or fulfilled by Amazon (if you remember to tick the box because paid shipping is now the default). I rarely buy from private sellers. On checkout they are offering one week free Prime for incentive so I might do that as it gets closer to Christmas, then cancel again.
