Long term it is futile, but short term governments always try and fight the inevitability of Gresham's Law. I think the finite human lifespan and thus the finite time for us to gain wisdom has doomed us to keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again.

just back from a few days away

visited 3 cities in anhui province

looks good

very interesting

quantum this

fusion that

entrepreneurship (ai, biotech, chips, ... ) something else

all good

saw folks from israel and silicon valley

took measure of them

note that most folks i had sight of and heard were either of the jewish faith or of the chinese diaspora culture

... you know, that which the elmat denigrated as culturally flawed ... lol ... too funny

also saw a lot of mainlander chinese

only question being whether there be a singularly more competitive group, or that all have goodies to offer

am of the view that the answer be all
