I love it here. What a wonderful country. It has its problems, as all countries do, but it's a really amazing vacation spot (though I urge everyone here NOT to visit in summer- the chances of brutal heat are just too real.)

We spent yesterday seeing the Chapel of Bones in Evora, as well as visiting the museum and seeing the Roman temple- then we went tramping around the countryside to see a Roman Villa and the remnants of the bath structures (on farm property- you go get the key from the farmer). And then we saw neolithic monuments- a cromlech- basically a stonhenge-type monument, and several dolmens. They're just out in the middle of nowhere- but what a treasure!
