IMO, this is the result at least in part of the PR arm of the Republican Party. Immediately after Cortez won the primary, they said that they would make her the "face" of the Democratic Party. It may well have gone to her head. It is pretty stunning for a 28-29 year old to gain that kind of fame/notoriety and overwhelming. I hope Cummings and others can rein her in. She is very young.

Nothing will get thru the Senate, but let's at least be realistic in what we pass. Carbon-free in 10 years sounds good, and carbon-free by Monday morning sounds even better, but it's not gonna happen, and it makes them sound crazy.

I notice Sunrise doesn't even have a plan we can follow to actually achieve their goals. For instance, how do they plan to replace 260 million ICE vehicles with EV's in 10 years?
