I agree the nature/nurture question is very complicated, but surely you would agree science has discovered some differences they are pretty sure of and also has put a probability of certain behavior as being a matter primarily of nature or nurture And the evidence around the world, it seems or me, is pretty clear is that females seem to be the more gentle and honest of the species. I have spent years watching cinema from around the world and the genders seem to behave pretty much the same everywhere. E.g. No matter where you go in the world, it is not the females you worry about harming you, it is the males. History shows it was the males that did the fighting not the females. And I am sure you are aware that in some poor countries, like Central America, where they give out "mini loans", they stopped giving them to males because they too often did not pay them back. All I am saying is that I think females, now that they are emancipated, will prove to be a great help to our civilization because of their nature. <<I'm not certain just how to be nice about this. However, last time I read this literature with any care, the conclusion on the nature/nurture argument vis a vis gender was a tossup. When one asserted one or the other as the basic/ur cause, whatever, it was a statement of faith, not research. I doubt it's changed much since. Suffice to say, it's a genuinely complicate field with research that points in all sorts of directions.
