Hmmm...Let's ignore energy, the job market, and a few other markets for now, and take a look at the stock market.

In spite of the FOMC doing everything in its power to bring it down (about 9 interest rate increases since Trump was elected, and $billions and $billions dumped through quantitative tightening), the DJIA went from 23,358 on January 8, 2017 to 25,413 yesterday. And that is counting a somewhat hefty correction in October, which seems ongoing.

Here's a very interesting chart that shows a straight line rise since January 2017:

All that said, I think it's a mistake to give total credit (or blame) for what the stock market does to the person in the White House.

Everyone on this thread knows I'm a bit radical about the FOMC. I want it demolished! But that's another story. :)
