Yup; I have a bad feeling about this.

She's an excited newbie. It won't be long before she realizes that, even if they pass wonderful laws, they won't make it past the (R) Senate. Even if they pass compromise laws acceptable to the (R) Senate, which she would hate, they have to clear the Trump veto hurdle.

Has Trump vetoed anything? You'd think he'd LOVE to veto stuff. Maybe we have to wait for a (D) House and Senate? That would mean a second term Trump!

Ocasio-Cortez will soon find that unlike most Republican voters, Democratic voters aren't ignorant or stupid. Her message will have limits for the typical Dem voter.

If they grab defeat from the jaws of victory it will hurt them most of all- since they're young, and they'll have to live through the shit they create.

There will always be a few nut cases in every group. We had them in the hippie days e.g. the SDS and Chicago 7. And Cortez is digging her own political grave. She is alone except for one or two other crazy people and a couple of dems to the right.

What she and a few others, mostly dems to the right have done is cause the Democrats to pull together fast. The Congressional Progressive Caucus and Congressional Black Caucus and the vast majority of women have publicly announced they are backing Pelosi.

Cortez is a Don Quixote who is doing her district harm because she could have had great power and is now relegating herself to the back seat of power. I would bet it is 50/50 she ends up voting for Pelosi.

But she is nothing to worry about. The vast perponderance of dems and all the power dems have circled the wagons around Pelosi and it is a done deal.

Very quickly Cortez will be seen as a caricature of her original image as a super star and serious Democrats will avoid her and as they do, her power will fade even more e.g. she will not be invited to meetings and parties, or Bill Maher show-lol. And will not have other dems helping her. They will avoid her.

In politics people depend on each other and if Cortez wants to fight Pelosi and the dem power structure no one will even want to be seen with her let alone help her.

They are idiots. They are going to show the country that they can be as crazed on the left as the Rs are on the right. Oh goody! Both extremes can screw up the country.
