John, I think the science is pretty clear, not necessarily with regard to any specific difference, but of "differences in general'. I think the science is clear and the logic is clear, e.g..

1) As one author observed, they know there is a direct path in animals, but weren't sure about us. I think he is down playing that argument because we too are an animal, so it would be logical we would have the same direct pathways.

2) Science has proved some differences and so that shows there are differences and then one can apply anecdotal evidence to make guesstimates.

Which is what I have done.

Yep, we've run this string out. But, just to take one more cut. This reply is about gender differences. Not my argument. In fact, I agree with your observation and have much the same experience. I had assumed our argument was about explanations rather than observations. But it's reasonably clear we disagree at that level.
